Speed Up NIU N1 2017 with ND72360 controller

Hello,

I have a NIU N1 and the controller is failing. It seems to work when the scooter is on its stand, but not when it's under a load. The motor is stuttering and lacks power.

I'm considering the ND72360 as a replacement. My plan is to use the new controller while keeping the original one and wiring most of the connections to the ND72360.

Do you think this is a suitable replacement?

ich habe einen NIU N1 und der Controller ist defekt. Er scheint zu funktionieren, wenn der Roller auf dem Ständer steht, aber nicht unter Last. Der Motor stottert und hat keine Kraft mehr.

Ich überlege, den ND72360 als Ersatz zu kaufen. Mein Plan ist es, den neuen Controller zu verwenden, den ursprünglichen aber zu behalten und die meisten Kabel an den neuen anzuschließen.

Hältst du das für einen geeigneten Ersatz?

at first you shoud check if there is a problem with one of the three hall switches in the hub motor.
Every controller uses the hall signals to work.
If the old controller ist OK, but one hall switch doesn´t work (has no connection), the result may be simmilar.

It ist possible the check the hall switches/ hall sensors without such a device, if You use a 5 Volt source at hall lines black and red with messurement oft signal voltages on hall lines blue, green and yellow, while turning the rear wheel.
