wollte euch mal ein kleines Update geben.
Der Honda CBR 125 Stoßdämpfer ist jetzt eingebaut - war auch total einfach!

Was soll ich sagen, ist echt so als würde man ein anderes Motorrad fahren!
Jetzt ist tatsächlich eine funktionierende Federung vorhanden.

Der alte Stoßdämpfer war wirklich nur eine Stahlstange ohne Funktion.
Bei mir ist sogar das Lager des Stoßdämpfers schon komplett defekt gewesen nach 3000 km. Hab mich etwas erschrocken als ich den Stoßdämpfer ausgebaut in der Hand hatte.
Werde morgen mal ein Foto davon machen.
Aber das Lager hat die Stöße mehr aufgenommen als die Feder selbst.
Daher auch jetzt von mir die Empfehlung!
baut euch den Honda CBR 125 Stoßdämpfer ein, ihr erkennt die Maschine danach nicht wieder.
Kurven fahren fühlt sich jetzt auch deutlich angenehmer an.

It still seems very hard ride to me, though. I was thinking to try some different softer shocks.

But I think it may also be the front that needs upgrading.

I have bought front struts from a Benelli BN125, which has 48mm diameter tubes to the Dayi's 51mm. I have 1.5mm sheet aluminium which I will cut and anneal to make spacer collars.

I have bought a brake caliper from a BN125 too, and found a disc with the stud pattern of the Dayi and the diameter of the Benelli. it is a single disc setup.

Therefore, I was looking to install replacement struts, caliper and brake disc.

I will have to make up a bracket to hold the fender, as the distance between the struts is different on the Benelli and Dayi.

The Benelli strut has a threaded lower end on one strut, which I think fits OK, but on the other the Benelli is slightly smaller diameter than the Dayo axle, so I will have to carefully open up the hole diameter on the Benelli strut.

I think it is all quite straight forward. The complication I worry about more is the braking arrangement. The Benelli has a split caliper, with 3 pots. 2 pots (outer) are the main brake, and the smaller central one is meant to be fed via a proportioning valve to the rear brake. I am thinking perhaps just to connect it directly to the rear brake circuit. I don't know if I should fit a proportioning valve.

So sah übrigens der alte Stoßdämpfer nach 3000km aus…
