Silence s01 alarm

Beitrag von Djfumon »

hello, Is it possible to adjust the alarm of a silence s01?

The alarm sounds good, but the problem is that it takes approximately 20-30 seconds for the alarm to sound after the motorcycle moves without permission.

well, the list to feed the wiki gets longer and longer...

You need to know how the Silence alarm works. In very short terms:
* the scooter's telemetry module detects a movement
* the scooter sends data to Silence server, where the event will be processed
* If the user has activated the alarm function, Silence sends a command back to the scooter
* when the scooter receives the command, the telemetry module wakes up the scooter and sends data to the scooter's ECU
* the ECU will now activate outputs to ... whatorever, I do not know how the alarm sounds.
No wonder it takes some seconds until something happens.

The very simply question is: Does this set need a permanent power supply? 'cause there isn't any in the Silence. Only the telemetry module has a separate permanent 12 volts line, which must not be used for other purposes.
SEAT drivers do not have the Silence alarm function at all. I got me a small cubic alarm buzzer with two remotes. A small socket is installed inside the main battery compartment, and twice a year I take it out for charging (USB-C).
I did not find a similar device. This is a bit different, but someting that kind.

 ... the 12V 300Ah >700 Euros announcement above ...

Well, "it depends". How much drains the alarm in standby and alarm mode? How long should the battery power the alarm (3 days, a week, half a year)? Do you want to install addional horns, ..? We have to do some maths.
Even 7Ah lead acids are common for starting a fuel bike or scooter, the deliver high currents for short moments, and they are very safe, but may go dead within 3 years. I would prefer LFP batterys (~6Ah in the same housing), never LiPo packs due to fire risks. You will need a smart DC/DC (stepup to 13.8 volts, current limiting to a reasonable value, let's say 0.5 to 0.8 amps). That's why I recommended self-powered alarms...

And maybe you should forget about doing something in this way by yourself, if you won't understand what I say....
